The latest title from Arnowitz Studios, Coral Reef, is about the world of reefs and its wonders. As with the previous titles from Arnowitz, Coral Reef is truly an amazing production that will let you explore intimately this fragile ecosystem.

With the help of Boston's New England Aquarium, Arnowitz achieved to design a comprehensive and easy-to-use learning tool for the general audience. Instead of providing users with the kind of interface that we are used to in other multimedia titles, Arnowitz included 72 original watercolor illustrations that deserve to be printed out as posters. (Let me know when they will be available!)

Moreover, the interface is intuitive with titles that appear when the mouse passes over certain areas of the background. The buttons used to navigate through the program or to select what type of information to view (picture, movie, story, report) have a great design and there is no need to look in the manual to understand their meaning. It's clear and very functional.

As in Daring to Fly, the program includes 35 exhibits ranging from lagoons to deep reef caves with over 800 images from renowned underwater photographers. Special exhibits show you very specific topics titled Wall of Mouths and Nibbling Your Neighbour for example.

The stories and tours bring you into journeys from the discovery of the reef to its conservation through topics like hurricanes, reef cycle, fishermen, etc..

Coral Reef is great with the way it interacts with you and with the quality of the artwork and the original music. It is, as Daring to Fly, the reference for multimedia titles in quality matter.
