MSN GAMING ZONE ANNOUNCES GRAND PRIX OF HEARTS & SPADES
January 15, 1999 -- Cards fans can now register on Microsoft's MSN Gaming Zone for The Grand Prix of Hearts and Spades, a tournament to kick-off a month of cool card tournaments on the Zone.
The Grand Prix of Hearts and Spades will pit top Hearts and Spades competitors against each other online with the goal of earning an invitation to compete in the US Open of Hearts & Spades, March 11-14, 1999, in Las Vegas. One Hearts Champion and One Spades Partnership will qualify for the tournament and receive round trip airfare and hotel accommodations to Las Vegas as well as VIP passes to the US Open Hearts & Spades tournament, courtesy of the MSN Gaming Zone.
Registration for the tournament began yesterday, Thursday January 14th, and is open until Thursday January 21st . Grand Prix competition will begin on January 25th and conclude with the finals on February 8, 1999.
