Site Offers Consumers Classic Catalogue Titles, Exclusive Merchandise, Reduced Prices and Free Strategy Guides

Santa Monica, CA, April 3, 1998 -- Gamers will now be able to purchase classic Activision titles as well as eagerly awaited new releases from the comfort of their own homes with the launch of Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) new online store. To celebrate the grand opening, Activision is offering two special promotions whereby consumers who buy either Battlezone or Pitfall 3D through the Activision online store by April 30, 1998 will receive a free copy of the game’s Official Strategy Guide by BradyGAMES. The Activision Store can be accessed by going into the Activision web site.

Activision is making available its entire catalog of PC, MAC and console titles to online shoppers. The site includes the company’s most recent releases -- such as Quake II and Shanghai: Dynasty -- as well as all of its classic games that can be difficult to find in stores -- including the Infocom Masterpieces collection, Return to Zork and the Atari 2600 Action Pack series. Fans of selected titles can purchase hint books, strategy guides and exclusive merchandise that is available only at the store. Current items being offered include Interstate ’76 soundtracks and t-shirts as well as Quake II baseball caps.

Additionally, the Activision Store offers special bargains on some of the company’s most popular titles. Interstate ’76, the critically-acclaimed action/simulation game released last year, is now available through the site for the low price of $26.95 (plus shipping and handling) and MechWarrior 2 for the PlayStation and Saturn is currently available for only $29.95 (plus shipping and handling).

After navigating the Activision Store through its easy-to-use interface, shoppers may make their purchases with a Visa or MasterCard by filling out the secure order form. In addition, the site also includes a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for those seeking further information.
