Game Supports Link Cable for Head-to-Head Play and PlayStation Mouse

Las Vegas, NV, October 23, 1997 -- Westwood Studios, the company behind the blockbuster Command & Conquer universe of games, today revealed the enhanced features of Command & Conquer Red Alert for the Sony PlayStation. Red Alert is Westwood's second real-time combat strategy game developed for the PlayStation, following the successful release of Command & Conquer in March.

Red Alert features 28 Allied and Soviet missions with over 30 units and structures to choose from. The PlayStation version contains several new features including a newly designed interface, enhanced graphics and special effects, smooth scrolling, larger maps, compatibility with the PlayStation mouse and link cable, and a "skirmish mode" allowing gamers to play against up to three computer-controlled opponents.

"Westwood Studios has gone to great lengths to ensure that Red Alert for PlayStation provides the intense multiplay action, addictive gameplay, and stunning graphics that our fans expect," said Steve Wetherill, vice president of development at Westwood Studios.
