First Sony PlayStation Game In Mega-Successful Franchise Enters New 3D World

Santa Monica, CA, November 21, 1997 -- Bruce Campbell, star of the Evil Dead trilogy, swings into action as the voice of the fearless adventurer Pitfall Harry, Jr. in Activision, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) new fast-paced adventure game Pitfall 3D. The Sony PlayStation game is expected to hit retail shelves in March 1998 and will carry an estimated street price of $59.95.

His varied career includes acting, directing and producing for motion pictures and television. Campbell has worked on such popular television shows as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Ellen and Homicide. Complementing his work in television, his film career includes such notorious movies as: Evil Dead, Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn and Army of Darkness. Campbell was also featured in Maniac Cop, Congo, Escape From LA and McHale's Navy.

While exploring the deep jungles of South America, Pitfall Harry, Jr. falls through a dimensional rift and ends up in a strange and dangerous world. The ancient Moku civilization has been decimated by an Evil Temptress and her next target is Earth. Players must race through more than 20 treacherous levels to defeat the Temptress' army of sinister creatures, rescue a beautiful rebel leader and ultimately save Earth from destruction.
