Vancouver, BC, Canada, October 27, 1997 -- ACT LABS, developers of cutting-edge game peripherals, have announced a new Universal Serial Bus (USB) version of their upcoming Force RS racing system. The revolutionary racing wheel will be on demonstration inside the Intel booth at Fall Comdex in Las Vegas, Nov. 17-21

The presence of the Force RS at Comdex is due in large part to the continued partnership between ACT LABS and Immersion Corp., the developers of I-FORCE Force Feedback technology. "Our cooperation with Immersion has resulted in an exciting USB solution," comments Joel Sanderson, ACT LABS president. "USB will be incorporated into our system cartridge technology for the Force RS, making this a future-proof product."

The Force RS racing system is touted by industry insiders as the best application of force feedback to date. As well as supporting a myriad of force feedback motions, the wheel itself can be programmed with its own software-independent force effects. Its racing wheel design incorporates a rubber-textured wheel with 280 of rotation, F1-style butterfly gear shifter and 8 HYPER programmable buttons.
