In "U.S.S. Ticonderoga", you are in charge of a Ticonderoga class cruiser, the central core of the Navy's task force fleet. You will be in the heat of the action on missions from the middle east to the far east, and North Atlantic. The game uses a first-person command view to deliver a real time experience aided by ultra-realistic SVGA graphics and animations.
Over 20 different mission scenarios are included, for example, recapturing an oil tanker which has been attacked by terrorists, defending allied reinforcements of Europe during a war against Russia or starting hostilities with North Korea.
An extra attention has been given to the simulation models with actual U.S. Navy specs to be more realistic. To give you an example, the complex model of the ship is the result of over a year's work.
The outcome of missions will depend on how fast you think and make critical decisions as well as how you choose to interact with non-player characters.
U.S.S. Ticonderoga makes an extensive use of awesome 3D graphics, hundreds of animations and sound effects, made possible with the CD-ROM support. The simulation developed by Intelligent Games and published by Mindscape will be available very soon and should establish a new benchmark for naval warfare simulations.
