Westwood's Counterstrike Becomes Fastest Selling Expansion Disc in History
Worldwide Sales Top 650,000 Units in Three MonthsLas Vegas, NV, August 19, 1997 -- With sales of Red Alert: Counterstrike continuing to soar, Westwood Studios, creators of the best-selling Command & Conquer series of games, announced today that Counterstrike, the first official expansion disc for Command & Conquer Red Alert, has become the fastest selling add-on pack in computer gaming history. Counterstrike has sold over 650,000 units worldwide since its release in April. "Any title that sells more than 100,000 copies is considered a success in the gaming industry," said Brett W.
