Bellevue, WA, May 1997 -- Sierra On-Line, the largest in-house developer of interactive entertainment software for the PC, today announced the development of a new fishing simulation: Front Page Sports: Trophy Rivers, promising the most realistic, comprehensive, and fun river fishing experience on a computer.

Trophy Rivers offers solo and multi-player cyber-fishing on five of the most outstanding trout, salmon, and steelhead rivers in North America. The rivers included are: the Miramichi in New Brunswick, the White River in Arkansas, the Deschutes River in Oregon, the Big Hole River in Montana, and the Sol Duc River in Washington.

Whether the player prefers fly fishing or spincasting, they can explore each river by walking the banks, wading the shallows, or float-fishing the stream in a driftboat or canoe in search of over 15 species of fish. Players will navigate through rock beds and rapids in search of rich fishing spots by "reading the water" to identify the prime locations where the biggest trophy fish dwell. A vast selection of over 200 lures and flies are included to tempt the player's intended targets -- as well as full-motion video tips on just how to use those lures and flies to catch the big ones.

If players are looking for competition, they can take on computer opponents in a wide range of new solo tournament and career options, or even challenge other on-line anglers over modem, network, or Internet matches. Advancing the standard set by Sierra's best-selling Trophy Bass series, Trophy Rivers brings even more fishing realism, excitement, and fun to the indoor angler's desktop.

Front Page Sports: Trophy Rivers will be available in October on CD-ROM for Windows '95 for a retail price of $54.95 at software retailers everywhere or by calling Sierra at 1-800-757-7707.
