Fall 1997 Release of Brett Favre-Endorsed Title is the Only Football Video Game for Nintendo 64

Glen Cove, NY, April 24, 1997 -- Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKLM), a leading worldwide interactive entertainment company, today announced that NFL Quarterback Club '98 will be available for Nintendo 64 this fall. Officially licensed by the National Football League, Players Inc and endorsed by two-time NFL MVP, star Quarterback Club member and Super Bowl champion Brett Favre, NFL Quarterback Club '98 will be the first and only football game available for the Nintendo 64 game system this year.

NFL Quarterback Club '98 will optimize all the benefits of the 64-bit system by offering fully polygonal 3-D players and stadiums, incredibly precise control and Acclaim's proprietary motion-capture animation that allows the players to look and move just like their real-life gridiron counterparts.

According to N64.com, one of the gaming industry's most-read online publications covering Nintendo 64 news, a high-quality football title tops the list of games N64 owners are eager to see. "Acclaim takes the prize for bringing the first football game to N64, answering the demands of thousands of imploring N64 owners," said Douglass Perry, editor of N64.com.

"We are excited to be the first and only licensed N64 football game on the market for the 1997 season," said Bob Picunko, Acclaim's director of sports marketing. "By combining our advanced motion capture technology with the speed and superior graphics of the Nintendo 64, we have been able to create a game that would have even Vince Lombardi doing a double take."

Developed by Iguana Entertainment, the creators of the hot-selling Nintendo 64 game Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, NFL Quarterback Club '98 is the latest in Acclaim's celebrated Quarterback Club series. According to Col Stone, vice president of product development at Acclaim: "Iguana has four years of experience developing football games for us and over two years of experience working with Nintendo 64. We're confident that NFL Quarterback Club '98 will redefine sports video games as we know them."

Nintendo 64 users will feel like sideline generals as they call offensive and defensive plays. The offensive playbook features actual plays developed by Brett Favre himself. Roster management options such as trading, creating, drafting and signing players, as well as managing salary caps, allow gamers to build their very own dream team from the ground up.

Additional features of NFL Quarterback Club '98 include:

- Licensing rights to over 1,500 NFL players and all 30 NFL teams
- Play by play calls from renowned NFL broadcaster, Marv Albert
- Comprehensive statistics for the 1996 season from Stats Inc
- Player highlights showing in-game statistics and color photos
