Presto Studios signs deal to give Broderbund rights to The Journeyman Project 3 and all future sequels

Novato, CA, July 8, 1996 -- Broderbund Software (NASDAQ:BROD) and Presto Studios, an entertainment CD-ROM developer, have signed an agreement providing Broderbund with worldwide (excluding Japan) PC and Macintosh publishing rights to The Journeyman Project 3 and all future sequels. This strategic partnership further strengthens Broderbund's objective of continuing to be a leader in entertainment software publishing. "Our strategy is to solidify our place as the leading edge games company, by providing high quality, breakthrough products," said Ken Goldstein, Executive Publisher of Broderbund Entertainment Studios. "The Journeyman Project 3 is a natural fit into our strategy, and we look forward to working with Presto Studios to deliver a thrilling time-travel graphic adventure."

The Journeyman Project 3 will be the third product in the highly successful and critically acclaimed Journeyman Project series, which has won 14 awards to date and has sold approximately 500,000 copies. The series, first published in 1993, is a first person time travel adventure which takes the player on a journey to discover interactive worlds and find the answers to who has altered the past. The new product, which will ship for Christmas 1997, will incorporate many exciting new features, including a new and improved interface, state of the art software technology and a compelling new story adventure.
