"The 'Test Drive' brand has been one of the best known titles in the driving game market," said Jim Barnett, president and CEO of Accolade. "Now, we're bringing the name back with one of the first off-road driving game for the PC. A new 3D engine takes Test Drive: Off-Road into the next generation of driving games."
Test Drive: Off-Road's high-speed 3D engine gives drivers complete off-track freedom to explore and race through 12 race courses, including dirt, sand and snow. The game also offers accurate driving physics and incredible speed, giving the player the most realistic off-road driving experience possible.
In support of Accolade's on-line strategy, Test Drive: Off-Road will include mutli-player capabilities via split-screen, modem or network play. The game will support up to four players in single race, multiplayer tournaments or full-season modes.
Test Drive: Off-Road will be available in the fall for MS-DOS and Windows 95 compatible personal computers.
