YOU DON'T KNOW JACK is a pop-culture quiz show game that gives players the sensation of being contestants on a challenging and irreverent television game show, complete with studio sound effects and a sarcastic host. First introduced in October 1995, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK has won more than 16 industry awards and has been a best seller at most major software retailers.
"YOU DON'T KNOW JACK is the perfect CD-ROM game to make the leap from computer screens to television screens," said Harry Gottlieb, President of Jellyvision. "We designed the CD-ROM as a loving spoof of TV game shows, so it's very cool to get a chance to turn it into a real show."
"We are excited that Telepictures Productions wants to turn our top selling game, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK, into an actual television game show," said Julie Wainwright, President and Chief Operating Officer of Berkeley Systems. "YOU DON'T KNOW JACK may be on the forefront of a new trend in the entertainment industry, in which computer games drive television programming."
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK recreates the swift pacing of a TV game show, featuring an audio track with original music, sound effects and hilarious dialogue, and the sarcastic musings of a jaded show host. In addition to its fast pace and hilarious content, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK ushers in a new era of social gaming, bringing players face-to-face and elbow-to-elbow over a single keyboard.
Last month Berkeley Systems and Jellyvision shipped the YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Question Pack, 400 new questions for the original game, and YOU DON'T KNOW JACK X-tra Large, which includes the original 800 question game, as well as the 400 new questions. Berkeley Systems just announced today that YOU DON'T KNOW JACK volume 2.0 and YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Sports will ship this fall.
To date, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK has won more than 16 industry awards. Most recently, it was honored with a Developer Spotlight Award by the Computer Game Developers' Association and was named by Computer Life as Best of the Best of Everything in the categories of Best Software of The Year and Best Game of the Year.
