Futuristic First-Person Action Game Puts Gamers on a Vigilante Mission for Truth, Justice and Drug-Free Cities

Los Angeles, CA, May 7, 1997 -- Gamers will kill in the name of the law when Hipnotic Interactive and Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) smash the sixth commandment with Sin, a new first-person 3-D action game that utilizes id Software's Quake engine. Developed by Hipnotic Interactive and published by Activision, Sin is set in the anarchic future where local governments have hired private security agencies to help them stem the unrelenting tide of graft, crime and drugs. The firepower-packed game is expected to be available in early 1998 for Windows 95.

In Sin, players explore the chaos of the 21st century as the leader of an elite strike force hired to rid the city of rampant crime and vice proliferation. As they blast their way through vast and complex levels of unholy terror, players discover that the secret source of the crime epidemic is perhaps even closer than they first thought. Crawling with criminals and mutant foes, Sin features six distinct game environments, convincing graphic detail and a rich, engaging storyline.

"Sin adds a critical and often overlooked element to the first-person shooter genre - a plot that draws players in and makes them feel that they've got a big secret to uncover," said Bobby Kotick, Chairman and CEO, Activision, Inc. "With more on the line than just boosting the body count, gamers will keep coming back for more."

"Be prepared to have a fist of reality shoved down your throat," proclaims Harry Miller, CEO, Hipnotic Interactive. "Players are transported to a highly detailed interactive world where solid gameplay, lightning-fast reflexes and an engaging multi-dimensional story combine to provide the first complete 3-D action game experience."
