Unique Twin Pack Features Hit Puzzlers Shanghai: Great Moments and Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye To Tantalize and Challenge Shanghai Enthusiasts Worldwide

Confucius say, "If one is good, then two is better."

Los Angeles, CA, March 25, 1997 -- Shanghai fans are guaranteed a double dose of their favorite mind-bender this Spring when Activision, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Shanghai Double Pack for Windows and Macintosh hits retail shelves the week of March 31. The twin pack features Shanghai: Great Moments and Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye, offering gamers countless hours of addicting strategic gameplay. The universally-popular Shanghai games challenge players to test their mental agility as they match pairs of tiles to clear a layout.

Classic tile-matching excitement merges with high technology in Shanghai: Great Moments, a multimedia spectacular of video, audio and animation hosted by actress Rosalind Chao (Joy Luck Club). Stunning tile animations, film clips and video segments portray some of the greatest moments in the history of science, politics and the arts as players test their puzzle-solving strategies.

Featuring thirteen different tile layouts, twelve of which are based on the Chinese zodiac, Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye offers players a variety of eye-catching tile sets and three challenging game modes - Tournament mode, single player mode, and double player mode. Players can also enter a new dimension of strategic gameplay by challenging the computer or an opponent to the ultimate competition, Dragon's Eye, where one player tries to bring the dragon to life, while the other attempts to slay it.

"Over the years Shanghai fans have been intrigued and tantalized by this series of captivating puzzle-strategy games," stated Bobby Kotick, Chairman and CEO, Activision, Inc. "The Shanghai Double Pack offers Shanghai enthusiasts their best value in puzzle-packed entertainment."

The Shanghai titles, which are each easy to learn but difficult to master, are mesmerizing for enthusiasts of all ages. Original versions of Shanghai, Shanghai: Great Moments and Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye are available on more than 30 hardware platforms worldwide.
