March 21, 1996 - In a move designed to strengthen distribution of its interactive products, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Inc. (TCFHEI) today announced an international (outside of the US and Canada) distribution alliance with Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS), a leading global interactive entertainment software company. Electronic Arts (EA), working in partnership with TCFHEI will be charged with the localization and distribution of Fox Interactive (FI) products for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC and Macintosh platforms.

"It's an exciting time for us to jump into the interactive category," said Jeff Yapp, President of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment International. "Our partnership with Electronic Arts allows us to utilize their established distribution base to roll out our products. More importantly, EA's business practices have earned them a solid reputation in the interactive business and we needed a strong partner to be able to manage the slate of outstanding products coming from Fox Interactive."

Jon Richmond, President of Fox Interactive, said "I am thrilled with this partnership and feel confident EA will be able to quickly establish an international presence for Fox Interactive."

Mark Lewis, Senior Vice-President International for Electronic Arts, added, "We are delighted to be working with Fox and relish the opportunity to match our growing global distribution strength in Europe, Japan and Australasia, with the stable of properties and talent that Fox brings to interactive entertainment."

The first title to be released under this new partnership will be Fox Interactive's eagerly awaited DIE HARD TRILOGY for the PlayStation, Saturn and Windows '95 CD-ROM. This state-of-the-art arcade style, action game combines three completely different types of game play. A preview of the game appearing in Video Games magazine's March '96 issue reads: "DIE HARD TRILOGY features possibly the most impressive graphics of any PlayStation title so far... it's absolutely mind-blowing!"

The second title slated for release is THE SIMPSONS CARTOON STUDIO for Windows and Macintosh CD-ROM. This interactive animation title has more than 10,000 hand painted animation cels. In addition, the technology allows the Simpsons characters to be put into almost any situation and a special feature will allow you to share your masterpiece with friends on- line for playback on their computer. The advanced features in the game allow characters and props to be lined up and layered for a true-to-TV cartoon creation utilizing real character voices from the show.

Fox Interactive has a strong line-up of exciting interactive entertainment slated for upcoming release. The Fox Interactive team is working with the best developers in the industry to create great new titles inspired by hit Fox creations such as the popular TV show THE X-FILES and the upcoming feature film INDEPENDENCE DAY. Other hot titles run the gamut from sci-fi thrillers to hard-core action/adventure to hilarious high jinx including: THE SIMPSONS: VIRTUAL SPRINGFIELD, ALIENS VS PREDATOR and PLANET OF THE APES.

"With the combined talents of these three companies, we will make an enormous impact when we enter the interactive category this May," stated Jeff Yapp.
